This resource is a recording of a webinar, handout and links to presenters. LGBTQA stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Asexual/Aromantic, Allies and Advocates (and the A can also stand for All). This webinar brought together invited speakers from the Pride Center of Vermont, Forbidden Fruits (an advocacy group in New York for LGBTQA persons living with developmental disabilities), People First of Connecticut (LGBTQA group for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities) and Rainbow Support Groups: Welcoming places in Massachusetts for LGBTQA people with disabilities. Groups shared about their experiences and what having LGBTQA groups in the self-advocacy movement means to them.
