Including Members Who Type to Communicate
Some people with disabilities express themselves by pointing to pictures or letters and by typing on a device. They may get encouragement and support from a communication partner. We need to make sure that everybody is heard. Give people enough time to think about a topic without making them feel like they are taking too long This resource is a handout with tips on how to include people who type to communicate in a self-advocacy meeting or event.
